Trap & 5-Stand Shotgun Range - 100 Yard Field

A Learning Shotgun Field!

The Slug n' Buck Alley extends to 75 yards and boasts six steel plates for shotgun testing and practicing with slugs and buckshot.  Our shorter Pattern Plate Alley is designed for testing birdshot patterns and practice for beginners!  Come and enjoy our new Trap Field and covered 5-Stand clay throwing field.

We Teach the Basics!

For new shotgun shooters, learning the fundamentals properly at the very beginning is critical in order to become proficient.  We teach proper techniques to include shooting stance, pointing, shouldering the shotgun, trigger pull and follow-through.

Steel Plate Alleys for Beginners and Tactical Shotguns!

Yes, our steel plate alleys are designed to accommodate all types and styles of shotguns!  Finally, there's a place to go and shoot your shotgun and practice with it.  Our birdshot pattern plates provide shooters with an awesome gong sound and some visual swing at the same time.

Try out a shotgun!

Coming out empty-handed?  Not a problem!  Here at Distinguished Pistol, you can rent one of our quality shotguns to try your hand at one of the steel plate alleys!  Enjoy the gong!  Have some fun!

Shotgun Range - Stop & Read

SHOOT WITHIN ALLEY MARKERS!!!    MAGNET-TEST ALL AMMO!!!

The DP Shotgun Range is designed for both new and experienced shotgun shooters.

All firearms must be unloaded while moving about the range complex!

The shotgun range has four sections: (1) Slug n’ Buck Alley, (2) Trap Field, (3) Covered 5-Stand, and (4) Birdshot Alley. The Slug n’ Buck and Birdshot Alleys have a $5 steel plate maintenance surcharge. A ticket must be purchased for the Trap Field and Wobble Stand and are priced according to the number of clays used. Shooters are accountable for rounds that are not properly aimed at range targets!

Slug n’ Buck Alley (25 to 75 yards) - $5 Surcharge  (We maintain & paint targets.)

1. There are orange-colored steel plates which can all be shot from the Slug n’ Buck pad.

2. Steel plates are spaced at intervals between 25 and 75 yards.

3. All shots are fired at the shooter’s desired pace.

2. Steel plates are spaced at intervals between 12 and 18 yards.

Got Some Shotgun FAQs?

Q.  May I shoot my tactical shotgun at the steel plates?

A.  Yes, that's why we set up the steel plate alleys; however, you must use only lead shot!  For slugs and buckshot, use the "Slug n' Buck" alley; and, for birdshot, use the "Pattern Plate" alley!

Q.  How fast may I shoot my shotgun on the alleys?

A.  You may shoot as fast as you can, so long as you maintain a proper safety protocol!
